The Business of Tourism in Rural Ireland We got up, picked up our laundry for €6.50. They gave us a discount for a big group where they will wash, dry and fold our clothes for us. Then we went on a ferry to Inishmore Island, and it cost €15.00. The ferry ride was 45 minutes one way and it was very foggy so we didn’t get good picture of the island from a distance.
I wanted to do
the horse carriage but the other students I went with didn’t want to pay
that much so we took a bus ride and I couldn’t understand the driver and
it was boring. Some people rented a bike and rode, but it was sprinkling
out so I didn’t want to get wet. We went all the way up to the end and
saw
the fort there.
We
came back to town, then I went with Jodi's family to a nice restaurant
and got some good food. I ate way too much at that place because their
food was so good. Thanks Jodi for the dinner! That
night, I got on the computer at the hostel. It cost
€1 for 15 minutes, €2 for 30, and
€3 for a hour. I walked up to the front desk
and ask if I could pay €1 for 30 minutes because it took me a lot
longer to read and they said they will give me half hour free internet.
When I was on my last e-mail, it kick me off. I couldn’t see the timer
on the top of the screen so I went back and ask for a few more minutes.
They gave me another 15 minutes but I didn’t use it up. I think the
people in Galway are very friendly and fair.
