Theme:  Irish History Overview and Visit to Parliament

We woke up and had breakfast (toast and tea) at Kinlay House-Dublin. We went to an Irish History lecture at UCD. It was kinda boring, a lot of the students almost fall asleep during this lecture. Then we had lunch at UCD.  It was good college food in Ireland. We had soup and different kind of sandwiches with soda. Their sodas are different than ours even if the name is the same.

After lunch, I met a blind women who has a guide dog from Ireland, she works for the disability service at UCD. We were talking mostly about the dog and I am trying to see what services they offer there in case I want to study there next year. I noticed with Irish people they tend to chat more off the point than trying to get their business done. They are friendly people though. This women was very excited to meet someone with a guide dog from America. She shared some dog information about UCD. UCD is the biggest Vet School in Ireland and they have a clinic on campus which will make it easier for us to visit if I were going to school there.

Then in the afternoon we went and visited the Leinster House – The Dail which was arranged by UCD staff.  It’s their government building, kinda the same as our White house function in Washington DC.  (For their security reason, we can't take pictures. There is no picture of this place.)

I had fried fish for dinner, and played games with some friends for the rest of the night. We met some people from France who were staying at our hostel.
